Landmark’s latest Residential Property Trends Report is now available, featuring the most recent data on listings, sold subject to contract / sold subject to missives, search orders and completion volumes across England, Wales and Scotland.
Our Q3 2026 analysis shows residential markets remained subdued, with supply holding relatively steady in England and Wales while demand, searches and completions continued to track below last year’s levels. In Scotland, listings, searches and completions also remained down year-on-year.
Across both markets, affordability pressures and wider uncertainty continue to hold back progress. Here are our headline findings across England and Wales:
- Listing volumes in Q3 2026 were down 2% compared to Q3 2025.
- SSTC volumes in Q3 2026 were down 11% compared to Q3 2025.
- Search order volumes were down 12% in Q3 2026 vs Q3 2025
- Completion volumes were down 7% in Q3 2026 vs Q3 2025.
