Turnaround Warnings
Please be advised that the estimated turnaround time is subject to change. As with all search companies, we are currently experiencing a fluctuation in response times; however, we are working closely with Local Authorities to ensure the quickest turnaround and thank you for your patience.
The following local authority areas currently have an extended turnaround time for the Regulated Local Authority Search (please note: T/A is for Prime Regulated Local Search estimated turnaround time in business working days, and are not Official Search turnaround times):

| Burnley Borough Council | 15 | Local Land Charges have advised that they will not be in the office from Monday 15th July 2024 to Friday 26th July 2024 due to annual leave. During this time the Local Authority will be operating a minimal service and have advised that CON29 searches will be accepted however unable to be returned until they return from annual leave. As this Local Authority are migrated with Land Registry, LLC1 only requests can be processed and returned. |

| Charnwood Borough Council | 30 | Onesearch have received the following Thank you for contacting the Local Land Charges team of Charnwood Borough Council. As of Wednesday 22nd May 2024, our turnaround time could fall behind and there will be a delay in queries being responded to. This is due to a UK Parliamentary General Election taking place on Thursday 4th July 2024. We are affected by elections as our department covers both Local Land Charges and Elections. If your enquiry is answered below, we will not respond further. This includes if you are chasing a search request that has been submitted which is still within our current turnaround time shown below. Our current turnaround time for official searches is 10 working days. We do not offer an expedited service or accept urgent requests. |
| Cheshire East Borough Council (Unitary) | 25 | Onesearch Direct have received the following from Cheshire East Council. Due to several unforeseen circumstances including operational issues within our old and new computerised systems and limited resources, we may be unable meet the statutory deadline of 20 working days, but we will endeavour to provide your response as soon as possible, within a maximum of 40 working days. Onesearch will monitor the situation and update accordingly. We thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. |
| Dover District Council | 25 | UPDATE 20/06/2024 - Dover have now resolved software issues , however they are now working through a backlog. We recently notified you that Dover District Council’s Local Land Charges Department were experiencing system software issues. Our systems are now functioning normally, however, we do have a backlog of requests which we are working through in date order. Dover have advised of the following situation We are endeavouring to catch up as soon as possible but please expect us to go over our usual ten working days turnaround for the rest of this week. We will update you again at the beginning of next week. It would be greatly appreciated if you could continue to avoid chasing requests unless they are genuinely urgent. 29/05/2024 |

| Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council | 20 | Please be advised that the Gateshead Local Land Charges office will be closed from Wednesday, 10th July 2024 to Thursday, 25th July 2024 due to annual leave. We have been advised searches will be accepted and processed by external departments. However, searches cannot be returned as there will be no one available to sign them off. Thank you for your understanding. |

| Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council | 25 | Onesearch have been advised of the following from Kings Lynn Council We currently have staffing issues in the Landcharges Team and may not be able to respond to your email immediately. | London Borough of Camden | 40 | London Borough of Camden are experiencing delays at the moment . This is due to this council working with Land Registry to capture Land charge data The Turnaround has been extended to approx. 8 weeks. |
| London Borough of Hackney | 180 | Since the cyberattack at London Borough of Hackney Council in October 2020, the Local Authority have been unable to access or provide information in the Local Land Charges register and CON29/0. The Local Authority have advised that they have been able to retrieve some information on the Local land Charges register and CON29/0 and will be able to provide a partial search report. This report will provide elements of the LLC1 and CON29/0 but will not cover a full search. The Local Authority have also advised that they will no longer provide a personal search service for the foreseeable as they currently have no public register available. Regrettably, this means that OneSearch Direct will be unable to provide a regulated search service in in the London Borough of Hackney Council for the following products. OneSearch Prime OneSearch Duo For clients with an outstanding order for either of these products, we can provide the following options: 1. Cancel your order, free of charge. 2. Change your OneSearch Prime or Duo to our OneSearch Express product, which is a comprehensive No Search insurance policy of £1Million, combined with real-time Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data). The cost is £50.00 and can be returned in up to 5 working days. 3. Leave your order outstanding indefinitely and obtain a Search Delay insurance policy. To inform us of your choice, please email to delayedsearches@onesearchdirect.co.uk, stating your order number and we will endeavour to action your request as quickly as possible. | London Borough of Havering Council | 45 | Due to restrictions on regulated Local Search appointments at the Local Authority, the current turnaround time at London Borough of Havering Council is approximately 35/40 working days. We understand the impact that delays can have on transactions and would therefore like to offer the following options as an alternative solution: 1. To reduce the turnaround time for the OneSearch Prime, London Borough of Havering will return the results in approximately 16 days for an additional fee of £30.00. 2. Change your OneSearch Prime to our OneSearch Express product which is a comprehensive insurance policy of £1 Million, combined with real-time Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data). The cost is £50.00 and the search can typically be returned in 2 working days. 3. Change your OneSearch Prime to an official Local Authority Search. The cost for the official Local Authority Search is £148.00 and the turnaround time is an average of 16 working days. Referral panel or introducer work: Please ensure you liaise with the originating referral panel or introducer prior to amending any search pack. | London Borough of Waltham Forest | 25 | Due to staff shortages, please note that London Borough of Waltham Forest Council are taking longer that normal to return regulated Local Search information, which has led to an increase in turnaround times. |
| Mansfield District Council | 20 | Please note that we are currently experiencing issues with Mansfield District Council. There has been a delay in returning building regulation information and we are in discussions with the Local Authority to try and resolve this situation. Unfortunately, this is likely to increase turnaround times in the short term until this matter is resolved. |

| Newcastle upon Tyne City Council | 30 | Due to higher search volumes and resourcing issues, Newcastle Upon Tyne City Council are taking longer that normal to return regulated Local Search information, which has led to an increase in turnaround times of approximately 35 working days. Newcastle have also advised that the turnaround will be impacted between June 25th and 22nd July due to staff annual leave. |

| Preston Borough Council | 5 | Please be aware that the Land Charge Department at Preston Borough Council shall be closed from 22nd of August to 5th of September due to lack of cover for annual leave. This will also affect the ability to return Regulated Searches during this period. OneSearch apologise for this inconvenience and will endeavour to return searches as quickly as possible once the Land Charge Department reopens. |
