Turnaround Warnings
Please be advised that the estimated turnaround time is subject to change. As with all search companies, we are currently experiencing a fluctuation in response times; however, we are working closely with Local Authorities to ensure the quickest turnaround and thank you for your patience.
The following local authority areas currently have an extended turnaround time for the Regulated Local Authority Search (please note: T/A is for Prime Regulated Local Search estimated turnaround time in business working days, and are not Official Search turnaround times):

| Breckland District Council | 40 | Update 27/02/2025 We have been informed that Breckland Council is still experiencing delays due to a new system installed in December. OneSearch will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the estimated dates to accommodate the ongoing delays. Thank you for your patience. Onesearch have been advised of the following Good afternoon Breckland Council's Land Charges Service is currently transitioning to a new IDOX back office IT system. From 5.00pm on Friday 22nd November 2024 we will be unable to accept any searches whilst this transfer of data takes place. Normal service will be resumed at 9.00am on Monday 9th December 2024 but there will be a significant change in the way that Land Searches can be submitted; any current URLs will no longer work and there will be a new form to complete and submit. | Carmarthenshire County Council | 40 | OneSearch has been informed that staffing issues within the council’s highways department have caused delays. The council is working as quickly as possible to resolve these issues. OneSearch will monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly. Thank you for your patience. |
| Forest of Dean District Council | 10 | Onesearch have been advised of the following. We are currently working with HM Land Registry to migrate our local land charges service to their central digital register. When this process is complete, HM Land Registry will provide search results for local land charges searches in the Forest of Dean area. We will provide an exact date for when this service will go live, in due course. | Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council | 6 | Onesearch have been informed that there will be annual leave within the Gateshead Land Charge department from Monday, 17th of March to the 31st of March. This may temporarily impact the turnaround times. We will continue to monitor the situation and update accordingly. Thank you for your patience and understanding. |
| London Borough of Camden | 13 | Notice received from Camden We are currently working with HMLR to migrate Camden’s Local Land Charges Register to a new centralised digital register. Our current timetable would enable us to go live in the Spring of 2025 with the Migration Project. However, as there is still further analysis of our data to be undertaken this date is not fixed. We will give all our customers plenty of notice before the change occurs. This means that Search application requests will take longer to be processed and returned, so please submit your search in plenty of time. Our current turnaround time for ALL types of searches at present is up to 4 weeks but we are doing our best to return to a normal service. We would be grateful if you could bear with us during this time as it will take us longer than usual to respond to your email requests. | London Borough of Hackney | 180 | Since the cyberattack at London Borough of Hackney Council in October 2020, the Local Authority have been unable to access or provide information in the Local Land Charges register and CON29/0. The Local Authority have advised that they have been able to retrieve some information on the Local land Charges register and CON29/0 and will be able to provide a partial search report. This report will provide elements of the LLC1 and CON29/0 but will not cover a full search. The Local Authority have also advised that they will no longer provide a personal search service for the foreseeable as they currently have no public register available. Regrettably, this means that OneSearch Direct will be unable to provide a regulated search service in in the London Borough of Hackney Council for the following products. OneSearch Prime OneSearch Duo For clients with an outstanding order for either of these products, we can provide the following options: 1. Cancel your order, free of charge. 2. Change your OneSearch Prime or Duo to our OneSearch Express product, which is a comprehensive No Search insurance policy of £1Million, combined with real-time Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data). The cost is £50.00 and can be returned in up to 5 working days. 3. Leave your order outstanding indefinitely and obtain a Search Delay insurance policy. | London Borough of Havering Council | 20 | Due to restrictions on regulated Local Search appointments at the Local Authority, the current turnaround time at London Borough of Havering Council is approximately 30 working days. We understand the impact that delays can have on transactions and would therefore like to offer the following options as an alternative solution: 1. To reduce the turnaround time for the OneSearch Prime, London Borough of Havering will return the results in approximately 10 days for an additional fee of £35.18. 2. Change your OneSearch Prime to our OneSearch Express product which is a comprehensive insurance policy of £1 Million, combined with real-time Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data). The cost is £50.00 and the search can typically be returned in 2 working days. 3. Change your OneSearch Prime to an official Local Authority Search. The cost for the official Local Authority Search is £148.00 and the turnaround time is an average of 16 working days. Referral panel or introducer work: Please ensure you liaise with the originating referral panel or introducer prior to amending any search pack. | Maidstone Borough Council | 12 | Onesearch have been advised of a System downtime at Maidstone which may impact the turnaround times . They have provided the following. Local Land Charges have informed us of system downtime between Friday 7th March 2025 to Tuesday 18th March 2025. Searches submitted after 5pm on Thursday 6th March 2025, will not be accepted until Tuesday 18th March 2025 and no searches will be returned during the system downtime. Thanks you for your patience |
| Newcastle upon Tyne City Council | 25 | Newcastle’s turnaround time has increased recently due to the installation of a new system. OneSearch will monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly. Thank you for your patience |
| North Yorkshire Council (Harrogate Council) | 20 | Onesearch have been advised of the following which may cause some temporary delays. We have been notified by North Yorkshire Council (NYC) that the Harrogate LLC Team are in the process switching their internal software platform from Idox TLC to Idox Cloud which commences the process of merging all NYC LAs onto a single platform. This will result in no CON29 responses being issued for searches in Harrogate 1st April until 5th May 2025. OneSearch will monitor this situation and endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum. |
| Rossendale Borough Council | 22 | Rossendale have advised that they are now working through a backlog which has now had an impact on turnaround times. The turnaround time is approx. 30 days Onesearch are currently monitoring the situation. Please accept our apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. |
| South Hams District Council | 7 | One search have been notified of the following I am pleased to inform you that today we served notice on South Hams District Council and they are due to go live with the LLC service on 15 April 2025. This local authority has an extended notice period. This has been done with the aim of ensuring they go live on the same date as West Devon Borough Council, who are yet to serve notice. We anticipate that West Devon Borough Council will be serving notice in March, and will send the usual confirmation email to you once this has taken place. As a result, the last date an LLC1 search will be accepted by either authority will be confirmed once West Devon Borough Council have served notice. In the interim, please continue to submit for local land charges to each local authority as usual. Please note that requests for Con29 applications will continue to be processed both local authorities and this service will remain with them. If you have any questions, please get in touch. | Surrey Heath Borough Council | 30 | UPDATE - 06/08/2024 - Surrey Heath turnaround is approx. 35 working days. They previously advise 28 but this has now increased over the past several weeks. We have been advised that Surrey Heath are experiencing high volumes of work at the moment which has increased their around time to approx. 28 days. They have apologised for this and have assured us that they are trying to work through this as quickly as they can. We will continue to monitor and update accordingly.
