Please be advised that the estimated turnaround time is subject to change. As with all search companies, we are currently experiencing a fluctuation in response times; however, we are working closely with Local Authorities to ensure the quickest turnaround and thank you for your patience.
The following local authority areas currently have an extended turnaround time for the Regulated Local Authority Search (please note: T/A is for Prime Regulated Local Search estimated turnaround time in business working days, and are not Official Search turnaround times):

We are able to offer a draft report if required this will provide details that may assist in the interim. | Chesterfield Borough Council | 6 | OneSearch has been made aware that North Somerset Council is currently in the process of migrating to HMLR. This process is expected to go live on the 24th of April. Chesterfield Borough Council has confirmed that the last date they will accept LLC1 searches is close of play 17 April 2026 After 17 April 2026, customers will need to hold any LLC search applications until after the local authority have gone live on the HM Land Registry Service. While this transition may have a slight impact on turnaround times, OneSearch Direct will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as required. | Lichfield District Council | 12 | OneSearch has been made aware that North Somerset Council is currently in the process of migrating to HMLR. This process is expected to go live on 21st April. Lichfield District Council has confirmed that the last date they will accept LLC1 searches is 23:59 on 9 April 2026 After 9 April 2026, customers will need to hold any LLC search applications until after the local authority have gone live on the HM Land Registry Service. | London Borough of Hackney | 180 | Since the cyberattack at London Borough of Hackney Council in October 2020, the Local Authority have been unable to access or provide information in the Local Land Charges register and CON29/0. The Local Authority have advised that they have been able to retrieve some information on the Local land Charges register and CON29/0 and will be able to provide a partial search report. This report will provide elements of the LLC1 and CON29/0 but will not cover a full search. The Local Authority have also advised that they will no longer provide a personal search service for the foreseeable as they currently have no public register available. Regrettably, this means that OneSearch Direct will be unable to provide a regulated search service in in the London Borough of Hackney Council for the following products. OneSearch Prime OneSearch Duo For clients with an outstanding order for either of these products, we can provide the following options: 1. Cancel your order, free of charge. 2. Change your OneSearch Prime or Duo to our OneSearch Express product, which is a comprehensive No Search insurance policy of £1.5 Million for residential and £2 million for commercial, combined with real-time Local Search Enquiries (CON29R Data). The cost is £54.00 for residential and £100 for Commercial and can be returned in up to 5 working days. 3. Leave your order outstanding indefinitely and obtain a Search Delay insurance policy. To inform us of your choice, please email to cs@onesearchdirect.co.uk, stating your order number and we will endeavour to action your request as quickly as possible. | London Borough of Merton | 35 | UPDATE 8th April 2026 LB Merton are experiencing delays due to a backlog which has been caused by updates made to their systems and processes back in December and January. They have apologised for the delays and thanked us for our patience and understanding OSD will continue to monitor and update accordingly. Kind regards OSD Onesearch have received the following *Merton Land Charges Update* There will be delays to search requests we receive after midday on 31 December 2025 This is because we are changing our IT system. *We aim to process search requests received by midday 31st December 2025 as normal and have them returned to you by 15th January 2026 Any search requests received after this time will not be processed until we start using our new system, which is planned for February 2026 Search turnaround times will be longer than normal after we go live because of the expected backlog. We will confirm exact turnaround times once the service has resumed. We will keep you updated if any of these dates change. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. | Newcastle upon Tyne City Council | 15 | 9th April 2026 Newcastle have advised that there could be delays between the following dates. The Land Charges Office will be closed on the following dates - Friday 10 April Monday 13 April Tuesday 21 April Friday 24 April Friday 1 May and Thursday 7 May Due to temporary reduced staff resources searches will be taking longer to be processed. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please do not send chase-up emails or requests for updates as we will not be able to reply to these at this time. OSD will monitor and update accordingly. Many thanks Update- There may be a further increase to the turnaround times in February at Newcastle, this is Due to annual leave between the 4th and 13th of February. Onesearch have been advised that due to staffing issues, annual leave and a previous system update, the volume of work has increased. | Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea | 100 | Onesearch have been advised of the following We have experienced a serious IT system issue yesterday 24/11/25 that has continued into today 25/11/25. This has been caused by a cyber incident, which is impacting our networks and systems. Unfortunately, we are unable to process any applications at present. | Sheffield City Council | 20 | Notice from Sheffield Council Onesearch have been advised of the following Dear Customer Due to staff shortages we will be experiencing increased timescales for sending out all searches (both full and personal) from now until further notification, which we anticipate at times could go up to around a 25 working day turnaround. We do not envisage that we will be in a position to undertake any expedited searches during this period so please enquire prior to sending this type of request in. If the situation changes we will let you know. Please be assured that we are trying our best to process your requests as quickly as possible and are working hard to reconfigure our resources to minimise the delays. Good morning I am pleased to inform you that today we served notice on Surrey Heath Borough Council and they are due to go live with the LLC service on 24 April 2026. This is the 150th local authority that has been served notice! Surrey Heath Borough Council have confirmed the following information regarding the last day in which they will be accepting search requests; Personal searches Cut off: 31st March 2026 Full searches Cut off: 17th April 2026 LLC1 only Cut off: 21st April 2026 If you have any questions about the information regarding cut-off dates, please contact the local authority directly to discuss this in more detail. After 21 April 2026, customers will need to hold any LLC1 search applications until after the local authority have gone live on the HM Land Registry Service. Please note that requests for Con29 applications will continue to be processed by the local authority and this service will remain with them.
