Use this form to list documents that accompany a first registration application. You can also use it with any other application if you need to send in a lot of documents.


Under section 66 of the Land Registration Act 2002 most documents (including this form) kept by the registrar relating to an application to the registrar or referred to in the register are open to public inspection and copying. If you believe a document contains prejudicial information, you may apply for that part of the document to be made exempt using Form EX1, under rule 136 of the Land Registration Rules 2003.


K15: Application for an Official Search

Overview

This form is to apply for an official search in the index to the registers kept pursuant to the Land Charges Act 1972 for any subsisting entries in respect of the particulars and is for unregistered land only.


 


K16: Application for an Official Search (Bankruptcy Only)

Overview

Use this form to apply for an official search in the index to the registers kept pursuant to the Land Charges Act 1972 in respect of the named person for any subsisting entries of:

  1. (i)  petitions in bankruptcy in the register of pending actions

  2. (ii)  receiving orders in bankruptcy and bankruptcy orders in the register of writs and orders

  3. (iii)  deeds of arrangement in the register of deeds of arrangement

K19: Application for an office copy of an entry in the register

This product is an office copy of the entry in the register to obtain further details of a registration.

Land Registry OC2 Copy Lease

Overview

The Land Registry OC2 Copy Lease reveals a potentially wide variation of ancillary and historical Registered Deeds filed against a property’s title number, such as a restrictive covenant on the land, transfers, charges, conveyances, or any other restrictions imposed. If a deed is noted as “copy filed” or “original filed” in the Title Register, it is an OC2 document.


When ordering a filed deed, you must specify which document you require, otherwise Land Registry will decide.


Land Registry Office Copy Entry

Overview

An Office Copy Entry, or Official Copy of Register of Title, is obtained from the Land Registry and states the definitive ownership of a property.


The title register includes:

  • the title number
  • who owns it
  • any rights of way
  • secured or discharged mortgages on the property
  • often the price paid by the current owners

Land Registry Plan

Overview

This plan shows the owned property, registered at Land Registry under a unique title number specific to the property. Title plan maps are prepared by whichever Ordnance Survey map is available at the point of registration.


Included in the title plan:

  • the title number of the land
  • the land included in the title which is normally edged in red. There may be other colours or markings on the plan. The significance of these is explained in the register
  • the scale at which the plan is drawn

Boundary features ownership information will be shown only if it was made available in the deeds lodged for registration.


The title plan copy will show a date and time, and does not take into account any application made after that time, including those pending in the Land Registry at the time the copy is issued.

Overview

Use this form for a search if you are not a purchaser, lender or leasee or do not want a priority period to protect your purchase, loan or lease.
