Our Christmas 2020 Message
As we approach the festive season, we're mindful that this will be a tough time for many firms and families. Whilst December will no doubt be awash with virtual Christmas parties and (hopefully) good cheer, we're particularly concerned about those in working poverty, who are falling through the cracks and won't get the support they truly need.
To this end, we're spending this year's Christmas marketing budget on helping families in Scotland who've been financially affected by the pandemic. We're donating to our chosen charity: Glasgow's No. 1 Baby & Family Support Service.
Run by volunteers, their website states: "every year we support kids in Glasgow who are at risk of not having a visit from Santa, by giving them a Christmas pack of 5 toys and a warm jacket. Last year we helped a whopping 802 kids which was double the amount of the previous year. This year, with all that has happened due to the pandemic, we are expecting those numbers to rise again.
"It is a very trying time for us as a charity, as we have lost the premises we normally use for our Christmas appeal AND we have lost 50% of our donators due to office blocks and companies closing down. This puts us in a very strange position full of doubt and uncertainty."
What we love especially about GN1BFSS is that they operate an open-door policy, meaning no professional referrals are required. As stated on their Facebook page "No judgements made and no privacy invaded. Simple, friendly, essential service delivered by caring compassionate individuals. No one should have to go without when there's plenty to go around!"
The registered charity has set up an Amazon wish list if you would also like to help make a difference. They are specifically looking for children's jackets and toys: Click here to view the wish list.
We'd like to take this opportunity to wish our customers a Merry Christmas and thank you for your loyalty throughout the year.
