Spotlight Series | Meet Lidia

Continuing our Spotlight Series, and for those of you who haven’t already had the pleasure, we would like you to meet Lidia Quinlan, our Head of Sales.

What does a typical working day look like?

No two days are the same 

I might be on a train, plane or in the car visiting new and existing customers, or in the office working with the team discussing an innovative solution to meet a customer’s needs.

With modern technology, despite the fact we may be across the UK we are always working closely together and communicating as a team.

What’s the best thing about your job?  

It has got to be the variety and the new challenge that tomorrow always brings!

My team all have the same ethos and common goal to keep the customer happy and sometimes we move mountains together to make it happen. We love a challenge!

From your conversations with solicitors, what do you feel are the biggest issues they face today?

Naturally the market is uncertain due to Covid-19. Having been in the industry for two decades I know that following any downturn there is always an upturn!

My team and I are making sure we stick close to our customers during these uncertain times to ensure they receive whatever support they require.

What is your favourite aspect of our ordering portal?

Our ordering portal has been designed and developed based on our customers needs and requirements – it is exactly what they have asked for and something that I am really proud of.

With 150 products to aid the conveyancer, and with its simple interface, it is quick and easy to use. We also Include a free Land Registry plan with every local search so it ticks all the boxes!

Your favourite OSD product and why:

Right now it has to be OneSearch Transact and OneSearch Duo, giving property lawyers and conveyancers a way to keep transactions moving during difficult times.

JUST FOR FUN

When not in the office, you can usually find me

At home with my daughters and husband, we love large family meals and I’m a great cook 

Whenever we can, we escape to the coast – either the Yorkshire coast or abroad – I do love the sand and sea!

Three things I would struggle to live without are:

1. My car – I love cars!
2. Books & audio books – I spend a lot of time in the car and normally enjoy a juicy crime story or podcast.
3. Music – As above….

My last meal on earth would be…

Probably seafood pasta, homemade bread and plenty of wine with my family overlooking the sea on a nice sunny day.
