In recent years, the Lawyer Checker team has grown and developed our flagship Account & Entity Screen (AES) product, to offer the best industry solution for legitimising conveyancing fund transfers.
This ongoing progress and investment in our product includes:
- Planned improvements to the Lawyer Checker portal interface: This will improve functionality and the user experience as well as a more efficient integration.
- CreditSafe checks: Lawyer Checker now evaluates daily data from CreditSafe and checks to see if the conveyancer searched against has gone into administration, liquidation or the company status has changed thus greatly affecting the integrity of a transaction
- NatWest checker: NatWest bank account details are verified against the account detail name. All Frequent and Infrequent Results are processed through the ‘Confirmation of Payee’ tool on the banking system. We have verified around 4,000 bank accounts and reported back on incorrect details. This helps law firms ensure they have the correct client bank account details, preventing loss of time when processing payments.
- Free update search: Within one AES law firms receive two searches in the price. We advise one at the onboarding stage and the other just before completion. Contact us now if this is not built into your integration.
Lawyer Checker is committed to offering the most cost-effective solutions to the legal sector to protect law firms and their clients from cyber fraud and threat. AES searches provide demonstrable due diligence to regulators and insurers.
With a 147%* rise in threat alerts from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, it's integral law firm's ensure a thorough conveyancing risk mitigation process is in place.
